There was a time when doctors used to make home visits but due to the demands of the healthcare system, this is no longer possible. However, by giving social workers the tools to carry out basic health check-ups, healthcare services can be improved.
With the WELNX Personal Health Assistant, vital signs of the patient can be fed in real-time data to a central health knowledge service. It allows people who feel unwell to obtain advice before a visit to a general practitioner is possible. In turn, these services would keep a comprehensive record of the patient. The kit consists of four Bluetooth-enabled medical diagnosis devices, which, in combination with the capabilities already integrated into a smart phone, works like smart devices to upload and track data in real-time.
This design concept aims to introduce a digital, enhanced first aid kit that is compatible with mobile technology and integrated with the ‘cloud’.
