The FLAG tea pot seeks a better way to enjoy tea by integrating a flag signal with a tea pot. A ‘flag signal’ serves to indicate whether the brewing process is complete.

A flag has an irreplaceable position in human history. It is the simplest solution to transfer signals between parties. It transfers signals between the maker and user; between objects and people. It signals the beginning and the finishing.
The FLAG tea pot integrates a flag signal with the tea-making process in a simple manner. When the flag is down, it represents tea-making is in process. When the flag is up, it means that the tea is ready.
The flag and the tea egg form a continuous L–shape body. When the flag is up, the tea egg will hide in the lid. When the flag is down; the tea egg will fall into the hot water, emphasising the glass bottom that coats part of the glass body. When the waterline reaches the base, it is time to refill with hot water.
