The Red Dot Design Museum Singapore

The Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore was established in 2005 and is now located along Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade, the heart of modern Singapore. Designed by Cox Architects, the museum is an outstanding landmark with a full glass facade that illuminates the museum like a crystal in the night. The unique architecture takes on a strong geometrical form and comprises of a playful composition of structural steel elements with a large overhanging roof.

This museum is the home for the Red Dot Award: Design Concept. It has over two floors of exhibitions, filled with more than 300 award winning design concepts, prototypes and videos. Visitors learn about today’s most exciting design research project and get a glimpse of what the future might bring in the “A Preview of the Future” exhibition.

In addition to the design concept special exhibition, there are award winning designs from the Red Dot Award for Product Design and Communication Design throughout the museum, at the galleries, the museum shop and the museum cafe bar.
