The highlight of the competition is the impressive awarding ceremony at the red dot design museum in Singapore. The awarding ceremony conveys the significance of the winners’ achievement and places them at the forefront of attention.

Every year, this gala of international design annually attracts hundreds of guests from the design, media and industry who come to make important contacts. It is a night of celebration and an important highlight in the design calendar.

In 2009, minimalist "visual audiographies" created the backdrop and set the mood for the night. sonicbrat created 3 distinct pieces for the award, exploration, research, and gathering to create a blend of sound into art became the perfect metaphor for what the award stands for.

Worldwide President of the red dot design award, Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, and Mr. Ken Koo, the Asia President gave out the awards to the designers from 105 winning design concepts who flew from as far as
France and Serbia to be at the ceremony, Apart from the winning designers, the red dot design museum was at its full capacity with over 500 international and local guests from industry.

This year, the awarding ceremony will be held on the 25th November 2010 and it promises to be yet another glamorous and exciting night.
