Participating in this competition will not compromise your intellectual property rights. There is time between knowing the results and the announcement of the results to file for protection of winning design concepts. Alternatively, the competition is open for approximately 6 months, you may also choose to file for protection before you submit your idea for judging.

The adjudication process takes place in July, all winners will be notified by post in September. A design concept that does not win is not announced and will remain anonymous to the public. Only winning concepts will be revealed in detail during the award ceremony in November 2010. Hence, after the announcement of results, there is approximately 2 months to file for protection.

Please note that protection must be filed or registered before the day of the awards ceremony to ensure your idea is protected before it is announced to the public.
