Breathing Partition allows workers to feel close to nature in what may otherwise be a dreary office environment.
These days, an increasing number of people are trying to live close to nature as part of a quest to find harmony between their bodies and minds. Outdoor gardens and indoor plants are providing a means for reflections on nature, without the need to make journeys to natural environments (which busy schedules don’t always allow).
During the development of Breathing Partition, offices were visited and workers were surveyed. It was found that many office environments are less than desirable, and sick building syndrome is a major problem. Breathing Partition has been designed to improve the office atmosphere with a departure from typical partition designs.
Breathing Partition accommodates potted plants that not only bring visual relief and a sense of vitality, but also offer air purification. While Breathing Partition serves the usual function of creating privacy, it also encourages communication among colleagues. A self-watering system automatically delivers an appropriate dose of water to the plants from a storage tank on a regular basis.
The partitions are connected magnetically so they can be easily rearranged at various angles. Breathing Partition is made with recyclable HDPE (high-density polyethylene), which is cost-effective, chemically safe, and resistant to water absorption (and thus dampness). |
