Corner's Communication

red dot award
red dot award: design concept 2009

TIME N.E.W.S.

Corner’s Communication takes the apprehension out of approaching a corner, by allowing one to perceive that another person is nearby.

People often collide at corners, being unable to see that someone else is walking in their direction. Feelings of apprehension can thus arise when we approach a corner. This is particularly so in certain contexts – for example, in restaurants (where you may run into a waiter whose arms are full of plates), in hospitals (where patients could aggravate injuries in a collision), or in offices (where a pile of documents or files could be dropped and muddled). Corner’s Communication lights up and emits a little sound to tell us that another person is approaching around the corner.
