Biquattro

Offering ease of mobility, versatility, eco-sensitivity, and low running costs, Biquattro is an electric bike that can be transformed into a three-wheeled configuration with ample storage space.

Biquattro is a prototype electric bike driven by the idea that one should be able to exercise full mobility in a various contexts – in cities, through traffic lights, and in the park. Biquattro can be driven on two wheels or, as needed for shopping, on three wheels. The rear wheel can be spilt, transforming the bike into a tricycle with a storage unit. A volume of up to 150 litres fits into this rear storage space – more than the average trunk size of some small cars. On two wheels, Biquattro can be ridden like a bicycle making it easily manageable in city traffic.

Biquattro proves that thinking green can be cheaper. It has pedals to assist the electric mechanisms. Its battery-powered motor lasts thirty kilometres per charge. The charging time is only three hours. The cost of charging the battery is 0.15 Euro for a range of one hundred kilometres. It uses a normal 110 – 240 volt plug. Biquattro can pick up speed of up to twenty-two kilometres per hour. If the battery is empty, the pedals can be used. The pedals are incorporated through a specially made shaft drive.
