Pony is an unconventional baby stroller. When the parent needs to rest, Pony can provide a seat. It also narrows the distance between parent and baby to increase interaction and communication. The folding Pony concept turns the stroller into a communication platform for parent and baby.
Conventional strollers provide adequate comfort for a baby, but the parent pushing the stroller is less at ease. To communicate face-to-face with their baby, the parent must stoop down or squat. Feeding the baby requires the same tiring posture for an extended period.
Pony’s handle section can be transformed into a seat. When the parent needs to rest, the security lock in the handle can be disengaged. Then the aluminium bar can be pushed down. This reveals the seat, which folds out into a horizontal position. While the parent rests, interaction with the baby can be enjoyed as the physical distance between the two is minimal.
When the seat is formed, the storage bag (which is fixed beneath the cot) becomes exposed on the seat-side of the stroller. A visible opening in the bag grants the parent easy access to the baby’s milk, toys, and so on. The cot itself can be detached for hand carrying, and converted into a baby seat for car travel. |
