Hand Door Stopper is a door handle that can be used to open and close a door as well as lower and raise a floor lock.
The bolting of an ordinary door floor lock requires the user to either bend forward from the waist or press down with their foot. People usually use their foot, which spreads dirt from the sole of their shoe onto the lock. For people in wheelchairs, who must bend forward to lift or lower the lock by hand, the dirt adds an extra nuisance to what is already an inconvenient task.
Hand Door Stopper allows a floor lock to be lowered and raised using the door handle. When the handle is twisted to an angle of seventy degrees, it simply opens and closes the door. When the handle is twisted further, it lowers the floor lock. Twisting the handle back raises the floor lock. (Seventy degrees was found by the designers to be the most comfortable twisting angle for the operation of a door handle.) |
