Convenient Cavity

The addition of a cavity to the typical shampoo dispenser bottle makes it much more convenient to use.

The shapes of typical shampoo dispenser bottles generally favour the container function over the pumping process. The Convenient Cavity bottle benefits greatly from the addition of a cavity below the pump, which enhances the bottle’s convenience of use.

The cavity allows for the pumping out of shampoo with just one hand. The pump can be pressed down by the thumb while the fingers grab the bottle through the cavity to stabilise it. The shampoo consequently flows directly into the hand. Typical shampoo bottles require two hands for this task – one to activate the pump, and one to hold the bottle in place.

A second advantage of the cavity is that the bottle can be conveniently hung. Consideration was also given to the performance of the pump pipe; the internal floor of the bottle is slanted to lead the last remaining drops of shampoo directly to the end of the pump pipe. The pipe tracks the side of the bottle because of the cavity. The shampoo can be exhausted completely.
