Catering to the increased interest in hand-crafting by the younger generation in China, the Lefun 乐缝 is a portable sewing machine and instrument set that could also prove very useful to tailors.
 

Sewing has been a human skill for thousands of years. In the 1970s, the sewing machine was the most popular dowry when people got married in China. Every family had a “Shanghai Flyingman” sewing machine. Now sewing has become more popular among the younger generation in China. Everyone wants to be different in the age of mass production. People like to make things with their own hands, so “DIY” has become a kind of living style for young people.
 

The Lefun 乐缝 was designed for people who like to sew as a kind of personal hobby and it can also serve as a portable set of instruments for tailors. The Lefun 乐缝 is small and easy to store. The carry bag turns into an ironing mat when it’s unfolded, and the sewing machine also stores a small electric iron. Threads and needles are stored in a box that fits into the hollow space under the arm of the sewing machine. Both sides of the sewing machine have a stitch selection wheel which makes it easy for left handed people to use.
