Wav-Wave helps a deaf parent detect a baby’s
cry. It is comprised of two sender-receiver
bands – one placed on a baby’s ankle, and the
other on the parent’s wrist.

Wav-Wave was inspired by an old Japanese
movie about a baby who froze to death just
beside its deaf parents who were asleep one
snowy night and unable to detect its cry. It is comprised of two bands with receiver and
sender signals embedded in them. One band
is placed on a baby’s ankle to receive the signal of the baby crying, and the other is worn
on the parent’s wrist. The parent’s band will
vibrate when the baby’s cry signal is received.
If the baby is not in sight, Wav-wave is also able to tell the parent how far away the baby is
through the intensity of the vibration.

Wav-wave is made of a malleable, breathable,
hypoallergenic and waterproof material, which is comfortable and safe for the baby. Its
waterproof quality allows the parent to use it in
all conditions – even when taking a shower. It
is also safe for the baby should there be any
unexpected spills.
