HoursMinutesSecondsDay (HMSD) is a system that separates time information into different watch-bracelet devices, allowing the wearer to choose their measure of time as well as the way they wear the watch-bracelets on their body.
There are thousands of devices on the market
that tell the time, meeting a range of price
points, levels of technology, and degrees of
crafting. In general, many of them share the
same method of presenting the time – with the
use of a single display. However, time has a
different meaning for each and every one of us. For one person, every second may count.
For someone else, just an indication of the day
may be enough. Time does not fly at the same
speed for everyone.
HMSD is a system that separates time
information into different watch-bracelet
devices. As such, someone can choose the
time information that they wish to access, and the arrangement of the watch-bracelets on the body. Each autonomous watch- bracelet displays a specific measure of time – hours, minutes, seconds and the day. This configuration may serve both practical and
aesthetic purposes (allowing for a greater
degree of self-expression). As such, the wearer can choose the measure of time that suits their preferences, or even wear a configuration of watch-bracelets that would tell the time in different time zones (by wearing two hour bracelets, for example). Colour options and the abillity to wear HMSD on either wrists or ankles offer further means of self-expression. |
