Inspired by the praying mantis and bionic
science, the Biopod is a photographer's tripod with an extraordinarily flexible body. This allows it to be used easily on the uneven surfaces of natural terrains.
At times, photographers need a tripod whose
angles can be adjusted, particularly when they are working on uneven surfaces, such as those in natural environments. For such
conditions, it is almost impossible to use the
ordinary tripod effectively. Inspired by bionic
science as well as the legs of a praying mantis.
Biopod has been developed to adapt to
different environmental conditions and provide ease of use for the photographer. It is quick to set up and can be easily adjusted to accommodate special angles as well as suit
the most challenging terrains.
Biopod's telescopic movement, which utilises
a four-links mechanism, is a refinement of
existing models. Biopod can be adjusted to
its terrain through disengaging the lock and
rotating each leg, which can be re-locked at a
later stage.
Each leg's wide range of movements makes it
possible to locate the tripod on any surface. In addition, the camera can be adjusted to any
angle desired by the photographer, and can be
positioned very close to the ground.
A spherical mechanism with a locking handle
is located at the neck of Biopod for easy
directional adjustments. Excellent balance can
be achieved for better protection of camera
equipment.
