Enhancing security for parked bicycles and offering a simple, convenient method of use, Locksit immobilises your ride and makes your load lighter too.
Locksit is a saddle that makes secure bicycle parking quicker and more convenient by immobilising your bicycle and removing the need to carry your saddle around with you.
Locksit acts as a simple second lock that means cyclists now only need to carry one lock with them (to secure the frame and front wheel). The saddle itself is secured with a unique bracket that is only removable by the cyclist. Spring-loaded pins in the seat post make for a quick and secure parking experience. These pins are pushed inward to allow the seat post to pivot about the hinge onto the back wheel where a U-bar locks the saddle around the tyre and rim. The bicycle is now immobilised and the saddle secure; the frame and front wheel only need to be locked to an immovable object.
Locksit responds to research that showed most cyclists only carry one lock with them, ignoring conventional locking practice and leaving their bikes vulnerable to theft. Locksit allows the cyclist to conveniently lock their bike at two points, making the bike more secure and discouraging thieves.
