Nature is an interactive bathroom system
that is designed to simulate the primordial
relationship between human and nature.

Nature is dedicated to the revival of a basic
human need – to be part of nature. Through
design and modern technology, Nature
seeks to provide the modern man with a
compensatory experience of things in and as
part of the natural environment. Designed as
an interactive bathroom system – which is
an adaptation of the standing urinal – Nature
gives the gentleman the impression that he
is watering a small plant when he uses the
facility. When it is in use, a built-in sensor in
the urinal detects the flow of liquid, which then
displays an image of a growing plant in front
of the user. The size of the plant is dependent
on the length of time the urinal is in use. The
image of the plant fades when the user leaves
the urinal. This visual simulation provides an
emotional connection between human and
nature.
