Soundbites awarding ceremony 2010

“I’m very glad to be here, you know, it’s a great moment for a designer to be recognised by the whole community. I’m having fun, it’s very good...the spirit.”
Audrey Richard-Laurent, ENSCI - Les Ateliers,
France

“I felt so happy, excited and surprised to win this award, because with so many design stars here from all over the world. I feel very proud of myself.”
Zhu Lin, China

“First of all, very surprised, it was a group work, team work with my friends in the same university and it was the first time we competed in a competition like this, one as big as red dot. It was really cool, I really liked the ceremony. Before the red dot, I didn’t have any experience like this in our country. It’s really good, cool and we really enjoyed it and I hope we can design another product that could win the prize one more time.”
Hamidreza Alavizadeh, Iran

“I feel very happy about tonight and the whole ceremony. I think, that only one thing is not good, it’s too short. I like it and the ceremony is really fantastic.”
Zhao Bin, China

“I feel great, actually, I won’t forget it, it’s a memorable experience, I really enjoyed it. I was nervous to go on stage but I enjoyed it. There are also lots of designers here so you can share common stories.”
Na Hyesook, South Korea

“I think the award ceremony is pretty good because I think the scale was nice and as a participant it was a really nice feeling, because people from all the parts of the world gather at the same place made it really more exciting for the participant, because we got to talk to a lot of people here. I’ve interacted with many people and to share ideas and to share what’s happening in their countries, I think, is really good learning, so I think it was a lovely evening, I really enjoyed it. I think its a big honour because in product design, being a product designer, red dot design award around the world is the most important design award you really look forward to. I’ve tried it many times but I’m happy that this time i’ve got a red dot, it’s such a pleasure.”
Chetan Sorab, India
